Central City Hospitality House’s 146 Leavenworth Street project represented significant alterations to a four level concrete building that had been designed for commercial use in the beginning of the 20th century. Work included the installation of a new elevator where one had never before existed, new roof and roof deck and complete restructuring of second floor bathrooms and offices to provide a better living experience for the 30 men who sleep on site every night. The property remained occupied during construction. The project was completed in the Summer of 2012.
